Description: Members of the Soil Conservation Service are meeting to discuss unusual soil erosion on the bank of the West Fork of the Trinity River. Inspecting the roots of a tree, left to right are George B. Romans and H. G. Millican. The exposed roots are the result of flood damage to the bank. Mr. Romans, of Graham, Texas, is a work unit conservationist. He is wearing a hat, dress shirt and trousers. Mr. Millican, of Loving, Texas, is chairman of the Upper Westfork Soil Conservation district 507. He is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves, and trousers.
