Title: Stanley and Clara Thompson’s residential garden
Description: Seventeenth and eighteenth century English manor houses provided the inspiration for the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley A. Thompson. The architecture is late Elizabethan and the interior and furnishings are eighteenth century, with adaptations. The garden, which is really a series of gardens of different levels, also is an adaptation of the landscape design of the English period. Pictured is a corner of the garden which is now blooming with tulips. The grounds are bright with a succession of blooms from early spring through chrysanthemum time.
