Manuel Gondra, freshman engineering student from Asuncion, Paraguay, studying at the University of Texas wades through his textbooks with the aid of a Spanish-English dictionary. Although he has little English, he was born in Washington, D. C. when his father, who later became President of Paraguay, was Paraguayan minister to the United States. Manual has a scholarship and a free round-trip passage on Pan American Airways. He will return to Paraguay, after completing his education, and work for the Anderson Clayton Company.
