Title: Photograph of Ida Belle Hicks with a pigeon sitting on her head published in the "Star-Telegram Junior," the newspaper's employee magazine
Creator: Boatner, Charles (Photographer)
Description: Star-Telegram Junior photos. Ida Belle Hicks with a pigeon sitting on her head. "A pigeon perched prettily atop Ida Belle Hicks during a recent assignment, but since it was hardly a "think piece" she was doing, the distraction didn't matter". Ms. Hicks appears in the center of the photograph sitting on a metal bench with a cloth cover. She is facing away from the camera in the direction of a dog that is very interested in the pigeon that is located on top of her head. The dog is facing the pigeon, and the pigeon is facing the camera. Ms. Hicks appears to be wearing a light colored sleeveless dress with a white sleeved undershirt. She is also wearing a white knitted hat with a bow, glasses, and round double earrings. Her hair appears to be curly and short. She is writing on paper that sits upon her lap and she holds a writing utensil in her left hand. In the left of the photograph a patio chair can be seen with a vertically stripped patio cover. In the background a disheveled brick wall can be seen with a dark door attached.
