Description: The Fort Worth Lions Club is running a Pedestrian Safety Campaign at Texas Wesleyan College. One of the students participating in the campaign is Elaine Lovelace. She is showing how a careless gutter stander waits for a traffic signal to change. Officer W. T. Griffis, of the Fort Worth Police Department, informs Miss Lovelace to stand back on the sidewalk to avoid being hit by a passing motorist. Miss Lovelace is dressed in a blouse and a skirt. Officer Griffis is wearing his police uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 5, 1946.
