Title: Clyde McDowell
Description: Clyde "Rabbit" McDowell was known as the hustle man of the Fort Worth Cat infield from 1937 to 1942. He is spending the baseball off season working at a tire shop in Fort Worth, Texas. He was removed from baseball during the war when he served with the Army Air Forces. McDowell returned to baseball in 1946 as a player manager with the Class B Circuit. He filled in for the younger players when they were injured. McDowell is planning to spend the 1947 season managing a minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. He is shown at the tire shop, dressed in a hat, jacket, and trousers.
