Cities featured among the fine details include "Alessandria" (Alexandria), "Cayro" (Cairo), and "Damiata" (Damietta). Ruscelli's work was an expanded edition of fellow Venetian Giacomo Gastaldi's 1548 edition Ptolemy's geography.
