Description: Massive is the word to describe the living room in the Rolling Hills home of Mr. J. Merida Ellis. and Mrs. Ruth C. Ellis. The fireplace wall is solid masonry, cream brick on exterior and Austin stone inside. The open staircase has a balcony landing leading to bedrooms. The room is 20 to 30 feet in dimension. The cathedral-type ceiling with solid redwood rafters is 24 feet in height. The fireplace inside enough for cordwood. Published in Fort Worth Star Telegram morning edition May 14, 1950.
