The fireplace wall is solid masonry, cream brick on exterior and Austin stone inside. The open staircase has a balcony landing leading to bedrooms. The room is 20 to 30 feet in dimension. The cathedral-type ceiling with solid redwood rafters is 24 feet in height. The fireplace inside enough for cordwood. Published in Fort Worth Star Telegram morning edition May 14, 1950.
