Title: New Home Designs
Description: Combination living and dining rooms, with furniture to mark the dividing line, is the vogue in new home. A distinctive feature of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Burke, 3617 Suffolk, Westcliff, is a movable book bar to separate the two areas. The bar rolls easily to one side on hidden casters. On the opposite side of the room an etagere (whatnot shelf in French) is used for a divider. The etagere of solid walnut was used by Mrs. Burke's grandmother more than 100 years ago.
