Title: Dick Whitworth
Description: Attendance-wise, the Fort Worth baseball Cats have played it exactly backward so far. They have lost before big crowds and won before small ones. They've fallen on their faces at home stands and then improved at the start of home stands and then improved at the finish. They have started road trips well and tailed off in the late stages to cool off their home fans. The one exception to that routine was recorded the last few days when local baseball was blanketed by other events. Now, apparently at their peak, the Cats leave on one of their three longest road trips of the year. Pictured is Dick Whitworth. Published in Fort Worth Star Telegram evening edition June 1, 1954.
