The Dallas Mavericks wheelchair basketball team does have an affiliation with the National Basketball Association team of the same name, but the team's players and method of playing are completely different. This article describes the Dallas Mavericks climb from an unsuccessful enterprise into champions of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association.
