This is a letter from University of Texas at Arlington (U. T. A.) President Wendell Nedderman written on October 31, 1980 in response to a letter he received from the Vice Chancellor of the UT Texas System, Bob Hardesty. In this letter president Nedderman responds to an issue that was raised by Representative Mary Jane Bode, about UTA not concerning itself with the Copper Street traffic hazard which is a handicap for people with mobility disabilities. In his reply back to Bob, Nedderman states various ways in which U. T. A.caters to students with disabilities and projects still in progress that aims to provide accessibility for all users on the U. T. A. campus. He also addresses another issue that Mary stated in her letter about prohibiting employees from testifying in front of Select Committee on State employees productivity. President Nedderman stated that he was unaware of the prohibition and would investigate the matter to know more.
