Texas colonists led by James Bowie engage a Mexican supply train near Alazan Creek, one mile west of San Antonio, believing it to be carrying pay for the Mexican army then in control of the city. Four Texans are wounded; three Mexicans troops are killed, fourteen wounded. The pack animals are later discovered to be carrying grass for Mexican horses.
