This is a letter written by John Dycus to Adelaide Horn, commissioner of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), in regards to the renewal of the Consumer Managed Personal Attendant Services (CMPAS) program offered by Helping Restore Ability (HRA). In the letter, John expresses his concern as a client of HRA and a former board president of the organization. He states that it would be a loss for both HRA and DADS if CMPAS gets canceled.
