Description: 

This is a training manual to empower educators in public secondary schools and enable them to implement supported employment for students with disabilities.It uses an individualized approach designed to makes it easy for presentation in two-day workshops. It includes handouts for participants and very detailed tools for instructors. The manual breaks down the process from explaining the need for supported employment and how programs can be created as well as other needed assistive services. Supported employment is creating an avenue in which students with disabilities can work in integrated work settings in their community.
