Pictured on the cover page is the University mascot, "Sam Maverick," along with football players. Sam is holding a Texas flag. The article on page 4 covers the partial depression of Cooper Street and the University's intent to build walkways over the road. Cooper Street posed a safety concern due to the high pedestrian and auto traffic around the University.
