Pictured on the cover page is the University mascot, "Sam Maverick." On the inside front cover are 1983's Mr. and Ms. UTA, Steve Voelker and Sue Andrijeski. Steve is in a wheelchair and is holding a newspaper. The article on pages 2-3 covers the National Wheelchair Athletic Association's 1983 competition. The article contains four photographs in which a couple of the athletes are shown participating. The article also shares the records that were established by each of the six UTA athletes on the Texas Lone Star team.
