Four men in military uniform pose in front of a poster for the Texas War Chest Commandos program. Two soldiers with paraplegia appear in the photograph. United States Army Staff Sargeant and Texas state legislator Warren Cowen sits in his wheelchair, second from the left. Mr.Cowen lost both legs during battle on New Britain during World War II. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1947-1963, representing primarily Tarrant County. The other men are not identified. The photograph was likely taken at the Tarrant County Courthouse in Fort Worth, Texas.
