A photo of Warren C. Cowen when he tries out a specially equipped Ford from Frank Kent Motors, Fort Worth, in approximately 1960. An unidentified man stands outside the car while Mr. Cowen sits in the drivers seat with both hands on the steering wheel.The addition of hand controls allows Mr. Cowen to operate the car. United States Army Staff Sargent Cowen lost both legs during battle on New Britain during World War II. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1947-1963, representing primarily Tarrant County.
