Description:

A letter from the Dallas Building Trades Council requesting that Mr. R. L. Thomas be allowed to present their award of merit.  Included in the letter is a brief synopsis of the history of the construction of the Cerebral Palsy Clinic and the development of the close relationship between Thomas and the Council.  The Council, at the request of Thomas, agreed to provide free labor for the construction of both the original Clinic building and a later addition.  In addition to the labor, a great deal of maintenence work was donated by the Council.  The donated services that the Council has provided to the Clinic is the reason why they are being presented with an award of merit.
