This is a workbook created by Marty Barbieri and Jerry C. Wircenski at The University of North Texas. The workbook is intended to help students gain the skills needed to live independently and work in the community. It contains the following:

  • An informational sheet for the instructor to understand and deliver content 
  • A pretest for the students to see what they already know about a given topic. 
  • Two activity sheets: One after the pretest and one after the informational sheet as been taught
  • An informational sheet intended to teach particular concepts
  • A posttest.

Each activity or test sheet comes with an answer sheet that the teacher can use for review. Some of the topics taught include: Accessing Community Service, Banking and Finances, and Job Hunting, etc.
