United States Army Staff Sargeant and Texas state legislator Warren Cowen sits in his wheelchair, second from the left. Mr.Cowen lost both legs during battle on New Britain during World War II. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1947-1963, representing primarily Tarrant County. The other soldier is not identified. The members of the Commandos are wearing band and/or drill team outfits and are female. They are all each wearing a "Texas War Chest Commandos" sash.
